The most important thing is not - what you say, but how and when you say it. While just a short while ago we were using flash for buttons, galleries etc, nowadays JavaScript frameworks such as mootools , scriptaculous and prototype can replace flash with light weight code that can produce the similar effects. But how do we use them effectively and in such a way that it won't distract the users attention and add value to the website. Below is a collection of 10 websites which I believe uses JavaScript animation effectively.
