There have been much better "motivate geeks" articles posted here on dzone, but this one's not bad. Does *anyone* know why free food is so motivating? :-)

That's really quite simple.

As a geek, I'll write a program that takes me weeks of work just to save 3 seconds off another task. Getting free food saves the trip to the restaurant, and keeps me from having to deal with people.
