I spent most of today playing with Guice, the new Java dependency injection framework. I have a relatively small application that includes a client and server piece, using Spring framework throughout. Today I decided to convert the app to Guice. I successfully converted the client, but ran out of time for the server piece. Based on what I did accomplish, however, I definitely plan to finish the job as soon as possible.

This is a great post. I started reading about Guice yesterday, and have been hearing about it for some time on the Struts 2 developer list. Looks like it's time to experiment.

Not sure they're really worth comparing contrasting as they have very different implementations and goals.
