Yep, but it can't do them as well, or as fast. That's why I fork out for an IDEA license, when I could use Eclipse for free.
For example, IDEA can complete almost any statement, even if it it won't compile at that moment; Eclipse requires a lot more of the statement to be filled in before it allows you to use completion effectively.
If eclipse 3.3 isn't more stable than 3.2 on my macbook pro, I'm going to have to look for alternatives, it's becoming unusable. IDEA is first on the list.
Are you using 3.3 M6? Eclipse is very stable for me on mac. I'll grant it has its problems with OS integration and visual performance on OS X, but that's not the point. I've never had it die on me unexpectedly on mac.
Nice feature presentation. Many folks would say Eclipse can do the same with plugins but personal I found it takes lot of time to gather all those plugins (and pray that they can work together).
All I need is a tool to work and not tool to polish.

Well, actually Eclipse can do most of those things that were enumerated, but it doesn't really matter. :-)

The thing that I like best about Eclipse is that I can use a single IDE for any language... ruby, php, java, etc....
Of course, in my professional career as a .NET programmer, Visual Studio.NET is a great product.

Yep, and with the right plugins it can do much much more.
