PHP stands at fourth place in the May 2007 edition of the TIOBE Programming Community Index. PHP’s position has remained the same since last month, and Java continues to hold the top spot. Java recorded an increase of 19.140% in May 2007.

Is it not interesting that for the last 12 months, the decrease in Java’s popularity is equal to the increase in Ruby’s, which is 2.18%.

Excellent observation. I see Ruby books fly off the the shelf at my local bookstore, I'd stick with python though.
