There’s clearly a tension in scrum: On the one hand, business stakeholders need a firm timescale for their planning and budgetting. On the other, the developers - the people actually moving the project forward - won’t tell you anything beyond what's in the next sprint. This situation is less of a problem than it seems, and there are three good reasons for it to exist.
