This is definitely a problem I contend with, largely because I *can't* get rid of all distractions. The biggest development resource is the internet, and I can't just shut off email -- a HUGE distraction for me... I can't count the number of emails I get daily that complete derail me!
This article is passable, but it's all stuff I know. TO-DO lists, reducing distractions... same old same old. They help, inasmuch as I can do them. Mainly right now I think I need to find a way to avoid posting on /. and dzone and such.
