I run a Google ad on my blog page, however as part of my audience only 11% of you will know that, the other 89% are going "huh? Where?". Now let me set the records straight, I have no illusions of getting rich from the ad. My dream is for Google to buy me a case of beer...

Well, my kids do. The meals on our dinner table are paid for by the sponsorships that make DZone possible as a business. I hope our audience of highly intelligent developers is smart enough to realize that evading ads on sites you like is basically voting for them to be executed by starvation.

Rick, well said.
Users that like DZone and use Firefox with Adblock, don't forget to add this filter exception: @@http://*dzone.com/*

Did you just use "gosh" and "fuck" in the same comment?

Poorly titled. This is a statistic that only refers to the blog that the author maintains, and his means of measurements are not all that great.

I guess misleading in that I specified "Java" developers, the only way someone will see that article I wrote is through DZone or JRoller and presumably if you are reading those sites you are a developer. However, I updated the article with today's stats. Again, Google's page impressions are way under what DZone+JRoller are reporting.
