Plenty of powerful new language features have fairly recently become mainstream with the launch of VS 2008 in Nov 2007 that supports C# 3.0, amongst which:
* Implicitly Typed Local Variables
* Extension Methods
* Lambda Expressions
* Object and Collection Initializers
* Anonymous Types
* Query Expressions
* Automatically Implemented Properties

Oxygene (formerly Chrome http://www.remobjects.com/oxygene) already supports number 1 and number 4. Oxygene also has full support for design by contract which one of the commenters asked for.
