Uhhh... one would think that a post about the "State of programming languages" would talk about more than Java. You touch C# and Scala and name drop a bunch of others. Not comprehensive. Better description please.

I agree with whiskeyjack. Java is mainstream, all of us know what is happening out there. With a title like "State of Programming Languages", I expected a lot more information about the growing ones like F#, Scala, IO and D ..
