Mee too. And I like the refreshing idea to thing of static typing as a kind of commenting. And also the comparison of programmer's development to a development of a child :)

Bah, this post was a load of bollox. Totally agree with FlySwat.
OK, I take that back - only the first half is a load of bollox. It's actually quite sensible past the bit about 'Metadata madness'.
