Looks a lot like C in the guise of Javascript. Makes me long for Prototype.

Ohhh, it's a sarcasm link, thank Bob. Why isn't the humor tag set?

So, do I vote this up, or vote this down? It was a mediocre use of sarcasm, but a good example of bad JavaScript.

I too do not know how to vote because I don't know the intention of the poster, nor their perspective. To me this looks typical of code you will get if you contract coding work out to a shop staffed with large numbers of those willing to work for the least pay. It is boring, ugly, and uninspired. But it probably works, which is what the customer wanted.

Heh...apparently someone has never of regex before...had to double check but they are infact going over every letter in the alphabet, finding its index and keeping count to see ifs the password contains at least two letters...wow...paid per line of code?

Ironic that it is a branch of Computer Sciences Corporation.

I used to work for CSC. I suppose this is the result of my having left.

Someone needs their copy and paste privileges taken away.

A good developer would not call this elegant. Regex would have been great, but even a function to pass an array of letters to would have been better than this disaster waiting to happen. Apparently someone has not heard of \n either. Try reading the error message when you submit the form with none of the required fields completed.
