He isn't Agile. Actually, Agile needs no 'architects', just test-driven pair-programmers who enjoy daily standup meetings where they are told to dump the 'legacy' code they have written the other day.

As an architect, I really agree with this article. Having such discussions give the team more confidence in the architecture design.
