Unless the "free" software is being given out by a monopolistic, felonious company with the intent of promoting a Microsoft only IT world.

Sounds good - Pity it's not in Australia yet.
It sounds like the perfect reason to try some windows-based stuff I've been wanting to do for a while :)

Nice idea, but the list of UK establishments seems incomplete. My local Unis, Dundee and Abertay aren't on there, neither is the Open University.

@Barry, many schools are not listed even in the United States. There is however an alternative way to verify your student status if your establishment is not listed.

There was a farmer that wanted to catch some pigs. So he put out a feeding trough. As the pigs became more and more used to the free food the farmer built a fence around them. Nothing different here.
