Last week was my 6 year ‘anniversary’ as a professional software developer. I like to look back on the past occasionally so i figured this is a good occasion to do so. I started working for Item Solutions (which we all refer to as Item) on October 2, 2002. At that time, it was hard to find a job as a software developer unless you had a few years of experience under your belt. I actually wanted to find a job in the Java world, or C++.
