JavaScript (through Rhino) powered the old Jot on the server-side, Dojo's build system uses JavaScript through Rhino to concatenate and compress files for deployment.
It's probably used a lot of places. Not knowing where doesn't change that. And the fact that there are run-times for it quite obviously means that someone is using them. It's insane to argue that a run-time exists with no one using it.
