Interesting. No one can develop software for sale, everyone should be able to take what they want. So if I believe that nothing should ever be for sale, can I take RS's car (hey, it should be free right!) or maybe his house (I may not have one in his area and by G, I shouldn't have to pay for it...).
Communism (which RS seems to be promoting in the S/W world) as a practical entity failed and will fail because most [all?] humans are full of ego, selfish, lazy and self centered. Why should I as an artist, provide my skills and talents for others for free when others (home builders, car builders, chef's, etc.) will not be providing for me for free!
I like my job, which I have a liking for, talent and skill in. Being told I must do it for free for the benefit of others pisses me off...,
