Is Coldfusion dead. The Coldfusion community says, no. But in reality have we heard anything outside of the community.

The entry is a carbon copy the semi-annual infamous ColdFusion is dead posts with a focus on the ColdFusion Community being a closed community and not getting outside of itself to promote ColdFusion. Just vote down and don't click through.

Interesting. I'm generally outside the Coldfusion community looking in. So doing a carbon copy is pretty much a waste of time and something I'm not into doing! Maybe the community should consider getting off it's arse and doing something. Or maybe they just can't be bothered. Move along folks nothing to see just a dead language...

So your plan for promoting ColdFusion/getting the word out about ColdFusion is to post a link to DZone with an opening line that implies that everyone but the folks outside the ColdFusion community think ColdFusion is dead? C'mon, now. You know most DZone readers who don't use ColdFusion aren't going to bother to read the article itself--they'll just take that summary to heart.
If you wanted to get the attention of the ColdFusion community and truly promote your message of getting the word out about ColdFusion, you should have just posted it in the ColdFusion zone of Dzone (http://coldfusion.dzone.com). I'd say the fact that ColdFusion has it's own zone in itself is a decent indication that CF is not "dead."

May it show how outside the community I am that I had no idea that section of dzone existed at all. Personally I don't care if ColdFusion dies or not. I've done my bit outside of the CF community which clearly is locked in a never ending navel gazing exercise.

August 27, 2007 http://www.thecrumb.com/2007/08/27/were-not-gonna-take-it-anymore/ - coldfusion community is a bit 'closed'
But I do take back the don't click/read. It is closed not to read other opinions.

Another FUD posting.
"Hey [insert inflamatory title to troll for clicks], look at me".
Yawn.
