The major search engines are not supposed to follow links with the NoFollow attribute? So why are they showing up in Yahoo's backlink checker?

nofollow means that the SE should not count this link as a back link. The SE's crawler will, however, index that linked page as long as it isn't "forbidden" via robots.txt or noindex.
