Dear Andy,
I read your blog about symfony and that you now switched to Ruby on Rails. You claim to work with symfony, but I cannot understand how you then can come up with those 20 things that Ruby handles better than symfony. Perhaps you made some up to complete your list of 20? Or you just don’t know?

Ruby is NOT better than Symphony!!!! *Rails* is better than Symphony. Ruby is better than *PHP*. Hope that straightens it out. :-)
Seriously though, the original post was not comparing the two. This post is building up a strawman argument, and it starts right in the title. Despite the RE: in this title, the original title was not the "X is better than Y" type. It was just a person who was familiar with Symphony who started to understand Rails and blogged about Rails (and Rails only) without comparing it with Symphony.

It might be arguable that Ruby is better than Symfony, even though they aren't the same kind of software.
