Everyday, I attempt to read 20 or 30 web development articles, usually via dzone, del.icio.us, and the drupal planet. Admittedly, its a perverse and masochistic ritual. On most days, the articles I scan leave me with a dreadful sense of emptiness -- and a longing for a different career. Yet, reading these articles has a beneficial side effect for me: it tends to make my development work seem exciting by contrast. I'm probably not alone in feeling this way.
