Skip the blog, go right to the project page, http://www.liquibase.org/home, which is not linked from the article.

Yup, the link is there :) The point of visiting the blog is to read related articles as well.

This article is nothing more than a cut/paste from LiquiBase's site, http://www.liquibase.org/quickstart. There is no value added from having that in a blog post besides generating traffic to your site. If you reviewed it or offered some insight on your usage, I'd be all for it. It's either blogspam (urban dictionary definition of it) or a repost (LiquiBase has been posted a few times), depending on how you look at it.

What you are saying is unfair, some people might want to read a review, others might want to find out what open source tools developers are using. I'm just spreading the word. When it comes to open source, every little helps. The extra value is the blog itself, you'll find related posts there :) For example, the ezComponents Database Schema post.

I'm calling a spade a spade. So you're not disputing my argument that the content you posted was copied verbatim from the source site without any elaboration? But rather your contention is that the value in this post about LiquiBase is to promote other articles on your site? So essentially you're using dzone as feeburner for your site, which is now acting like an aggregator itself but reposting other sites content (I saw a similar accusation in another link you posted so I'm not alone, but that isn't the point here).

I've mentioned this in a few other posts but I'll reiterate, I'm totally not against people linking to their own blog as long as it's original content or added value to other peoples work. But this hardly qualifies as a "fresh link", sorry.

I'm prepared for my -2 now from you and I assume your buddy that upvotes every one of your other posts.
