A rambling post with little useful content. It's not particularly surprising that we become dependent on tools that make development easier.

Yes it is a rambling post. Idea of this post is not about JPA versus Hibernate it's about technology introduction into your project on which you became dependent. I mean application's design is absolutely different? The main point is. Does it worth to add a library and become dependent on it? What will happen if another, cooler pattern, technology becomes available? Do you have to switch to that new cool stuff?
