More than any other topic, people ask every week about AJAX (define) impression counting. How will the internet advertising models adapt to pages that never refresh? This article discusses some of the differnet options available.

Ajax definitely presents some tough issues for web developers. I suspect we'll have to redefine what the term "impression" really means in a world where we have fewer page refreshes, but potentially a lot more "face time" with a viewer. The current, prevailing model is not ready to handle this.
Then again, there are STILL some people spending money on print ads. That is so "3 hours ago!"
