The Web is changing. The 30-year-old terminal-like technology it was originally is gradually giving way to new ways of doing things. The power of AJAX allows for rich user interaction without the trouble that has bugged traditional web applications. Building upon the wonderful Prototype JavaScript library, script.aculo.us provides you with some great additional ingredients to mix in. I'm currently using this library to override some of Sharepoint's proprietary functions.

Thanks for changing the title. it looked pretty stupid with "Drap and Drop" Anyway, I'm using some of the features in this library to create cross browser drag and drop funtionality. As you probably already know, IE has events that handle drag and drop, but other browsers do not. Therefore, this makes a great library to use. I haven't tested out the XMLHttpRequest functionality yet but it looks promising.

I like it. My first thought was that clicking "add to cart" would be easier. But on the one example, where it lets you add more than one shirt, and see that many shirts in the cart (make it look like a buggy!), I think this might be more intuitive. If I used the drag method first, I'd wonder what the "add to cart" button is for when I could just drag it!

The drag and drop system is really good. I've not seen anything like that implemented without a Macromedia plugin. Nice work. ++vote
