If you have been tracking the recent evolution of J2EE (EJB 3.0, JPA) over the last few months, you'll take note how supporters of these specifications celebrate how developing in these technologies is like developing with POJOs. But a quick glance at the source code and you will find yourself immersed in a completely different world where the days of XML deployment descriptors have been replaced with Java annotations.
