This shouldn't come as any great surprise, but Linux is faster than Windows, and at least one anonymous Microsoft developer is willing to admit it and explain why that's the case.

This isn't that much of a surprise, the open source model has been a revolution in innovation. Microsoft has tons of talent, and tons of capital and it sounds like it just needs to be managed properly. I don't feel Windows is horrible, but it certainly could be a lot better, and I'm sure this guy is right about a lot of the things he's sharing.
