I have found an interesting article called “Maxing out your Triangle” today. He found that most people take on new jobs, projects and hobbies for three reasons: 1. To learn something new, 2. To pay the bills, 3. Because they love doing it. These three things fulfill some of our very basic needs—they give us stability, excitement, ways to contribute and opportunities to grow.

I would have voted this up if it had been to the original article. The article this linked too was zero added value.

the original article is very interesting though. it really brings into perspective the idea that working in a sh*t job so you can do your hobby isn't maximizing things at all.

Torn on how to vote for this one. I would have voted for the original but I won't downvote just because somebody else is providing to the link that is interesting so I will abstain.

The orignal article is interesting. Of course, it is very difficult to find a job that achieves all three.
