Authenticating with Facebook, Twitter, Google... is a very common use case, though it might be very tricky to implement this authentication support in Java applications: almost every framework, every protocol or every identity provider requires a dedicated solution, more or less complicated. The pac4j library solves this problem by providing a simple and consistent solution for all identity providers, protocols and frameworks of the Java Virtual Machine (JVM). It supports 5 protocols (CAS, OAuth, OpenID, SAML, form and basic auth HTTP authentications) and 19 identity providers (Facebook, Twitter, Google...) for 8 different frameworks: J2E, Spring Security, Shiro, CAS, Play, Ratpack and soon Vertx and Undertow...
