Many mobile apps have simple server-side needs: mainly backup and/or synchronization of app data across multiple mobile devices. The server-side code for doing these persistance and user account operations is mostly boiler-plate. If Backlift can make this easy, reliable, safe, and cheap, then they'll have a winning product.
