In this blog series we take a look at some of the cool stuff that the guys over at Google have been churning up in their Guava project, and how you as a Java developer can utilize these nifty libraries to make your code cleaner, faster to write, and once and for all get rid of that boiler plate code we all hate so much! In the first part of this series we give you an introduction to Google Collections and show you how you can benefit from using Guava with Collections to reduce the amount of boilerplate code in your projects and gain access to the new and faster data structures that they provide!.

Nice.. but why can't they give us a binary yet?

Hi xcdesz. As the source was just recently released to the public (in September), the code is still highly subject to change and as the guys themselves say: "We apologize that the project currently lacks "polish". We decided it was better to start by at least getting some code out there to the world rather than waiting until we had time to spend making it a professional produced package."
It is rather easy to compile the binary yourself with ant and I'll write about how in the follow-up article.
