Transcript of disastrous JEE interview (wildly entertaining audio available via article link). Too fun to miss, too sad to ignore. Interviewing advice: don't be the guy answering questions like this.

What part was JEE? JSP? Servlets?
Dave Newton replied ago:
The part where it was for a JEE position.

Then he should have asked more JEE things. Drives me nuts when people say "i do JEE" or it is a "JEE position" and of the group of JEE technologies the only thing they use is servlets and maybe JSPs and that only under the covers. Really, it is a Java technologies position (and that might not even be accurate).
Dave Newton replied ago:
Really? You would have asked this candidate more JEE things? Why? Was it not obvious they were entirely clueless?
Yes, it actually *is* a JEE position: they use JTA, EJB, and JMS at the very least. Of course, you didn't hear the first part of the interview (which wasn't recorded AFAIK), or know anything about the company.
I wasn't aware you were so familiar with their application stack. Oh wait, you're not.

I bet that guy was sweating bullets.

Many fail to prepare. It is also important to be honest.
