Not that I totally disagree with the general idea behind TFA, but why does it make so many references to PHP, just to severely limit itself and to create a basis impression? (Again, not that I think there is zero correlation between the approach PHP implies/advocates and its (inadvertent) outcome)
The jist of the article is "don't hire someone just because they can talk a good interview", which in reality could apply to a near-infinite amount of professions, however, in this case its given a sensationalistic title which implies senior PHP developers are nothing but scams.
Also, the topic of effective interviews has been covered ad nauseam. Nothing new here, just some ranting.

@jerryji: The reference to PHP is purely due to my working experience in that line. This can be true for other language/platform as well.
