Tapestry 5 is the latest version of the Apache Tapestry framework created by Howard Lewis Ship. In the book Alexander Kolesnikov takes the developer through a brief history of Tapestry identifying the differences between previous versions of the framework. Alexander also takes some time to describe why Tapestry is "Special" and what makes Tapestry appealing to developers, for example he describes how AJAX and DHTML is built into the framework without the need for Java Script coding.
