completly agree with you. the book on design pattern is really good. but what i think is "Let Us C" should have been in the list.

Ah May be, I was mostly targeting the design / architectural books. Though I have listed "Thinking in Java" , its a nice book on OO way. :) Thank u for the suggestion :),
