The Squeak bytecode compiler is a bijou jewel. It has flaws in some facets but on the whole it is small and beautiful. OK, its a Curate’s Egg. Good in parts. Luckily for me Vassili Bykov has already written the perfect introduction to the compiler that will help you understand the rest of this post if you’re unfamiliar with the compiler.
