Spring provides a number of mechanisms for configuring applications, some straightforward and others less so (but very powerful). This post describes a number of them in turn and then shows how they can be combined for ultimately flexibility. If you want to know how to build a single deployable binary artifact for all environments by externalizing configuration, or if you simply wants a survey of what spring has to offer in terms of configuration out-of-the-box, check this blog out.
