A Sharepoint web site provides several methods that can be called from its web services. These methods allow a programmer to access the data that are stored inside web parts such as Shared Documents, List, Links and others. This video show how to create a new console application with the C# language that contains a web reference for a Sharepoint web service. The example also show how to provide credentials and perform a remote call of a web service method that return in XML format the data of a contact list. Finally, the example show how to obtain only specific fields of the list by analyzing the result XML format and filtering only the names of the first two fields of the list.
