I started gathering little, iconesque web images for myself so that I could compare, contrast, and study the techniques used by other graphic artists on the web. My initial pool of images looked so interesting that I decided to continue methodically hunting and capturing the icons for a public display piece.

Yeah, the guy 'steals' the images himself from other sites and then asks you not to steal them in return. lol. This story is kinda lame...

Anyways, if anyone is doing UI work that requires a consistent icon set I recommend Silk by famfamfam. Here is a link: http://www.famfamfam.com/lab/icons/silk/

I also recommend his flags series!

Oh I wasn't complaining about that. What he's done is covered under fair use most likely although it would have been better if he had correctly attributed the images in the alt/title attributes at the VERY least.

No I was just sad at seeing all those beautiful icons that I can't use ;)
