sure but after learning that, what ? how to write a simple servlet or use JSP with it or Scala XML features? no one cares to make productive useful basics clear. someone has to rise up, someone needs to take a stand against this FRAMEWORK HELL ERA.

After that you extend your Servlet class, you extend your doGet(); what's the problem?

Problem is for those who dont know Java , with such attitude people who have not done Java are barricaded from Scala.

Ah, I see what you mean now. That's a fair point. There are blogs floating around with that kind of information though, like this one from our DZone compadre Nicolas Frankel: http://blog.frankel.ch/my-first-scala-servlet. I'm not sure how much (economic) sense it would make to build a course around such a topic though.
