When people discuss why they like Clojure so much, there's often a bit of hand waving about expressiveness, or macros, or essence, that's hard to follow from the outside. This post goes a bit deeper on a specific problem to highlight the great differences between traditional object oriented programming (in Java), and Clojure's functional approach, exploring why Clojure can be so rewarding ... even addictive.
