Wow, 2009 and *still* baiting the *nix crowd for traffic?
Shoddy.

Linux zealots are easy marks.

For the terminally lazy, yup.

On the other hand the guy seems to be "free software" zealot:
"9. Software Repository Trickery - I hate that there's a lot of non-free software hidden in software repositories that you can be tricked into installing without any warning or knowledge. There should be separate repositories for non-free components and a warning when you install those components. Installing those components without my knowledge or approval is a violation of my freedom. See the Free Software Foundation (FSF) information for details. Before someone takes away your freedom, you should be warned and have the choice to refuse the software."
"Installing those components without my knowledge or approval is a violation of my freedom"? - Oh my. It's amazing that people can be indoctrinated into thinking that way.

To be honest, anyone that calls themselves a "semi-expert" should stop writing articles, period.
Especially when they go on to say "I'm annoyed I could no longer fleece my customers once I had started using these systems".
"Semi-professional" may be a better description.

No, people who offer their rancid commentary should stop that, period. It was meant to be funny.
EbowUK replied ago:
Tag it as Funny then.
Otherwise you're just a troll, posting their own rancid commentary.

I voted it up because I found some interesting points in it. To be honest I like these kind of articles. They definitely spark opinionated discussion.
And that's a good thing (tm).
