Men don't understand women, or so my wife tells me when I'm actually listening. Women are even harder for most geeks for grok. So when I was going through the HTML response codes, I noted that some of them could be used by a women when a man uses a pickup line on her.

Umm so the opening paragraph was stupid and offensive in my opinion but the actual list is ok.

I dunno, Justin. It seems pretty harmless to me. And you have to admit, Kevin did a really good job interpreting the actual HTTP Result Codes :) This is humor only a geek can appreciate! Count me in!

I didn't find the opening paragraphs offensive, just cliched. I don't mean to take this too seriously but the perception that geeks have a problem with women is either wrong, or perhaps just dated (that is, maybe it applies to older geeks more than younger ones). It seems to me that many geeks are a big hit with women: intelligent, educated, often with a great sense of humour, usually successful, and with the same likelihood of being good-looking as any other segment of the population.

As a woman in IT, I was offended by the opening paragraph's (and I'm usually not easily offended). The translation of the codes was good though.
