Folks,
I've been doing Scala for about a year. Wow!
I was originally attracted to Scala for a variety of reasons: it runs on the JVM, it's got elegant code styles, it's statically typed, and it's high performance.
I joined the community and wow... what a community.
The folks on the list, even when they're talking about stuff I still don't totally grok, are amazingly accessible.

Nothing against Scala (or David), but why is this on dzone? It's an email post congratulating the group on what a great community they are--nothing more.
