Anybody could explain me why do you use maven. As I understand the main purpose of maven is a support of dependencies between modules/components in project. Other task such as reporting, documentation and others is not important. In this case it would be much more useful/simple to use less complicated tool.

Trying to get traffic to answer your question? I think maybe if the discussion had led somewhere worth reading, but as it stands, its just a question. Not really dzone material.

Hi, I do not understand why it is not a dzone material - it is my opinion (as you see it was tagged as opinion). Also it was not a question - there were shown a simpler way for dependency management.

This is something like "I don't understand how maven works... ivy is better"

Hi, you are not right, I understand how maven works and what is it (a have a year experience with maven), but I still have strong conviction it was a wrong choice since it is too complex for such simple thing as dependency management.
