Can someone explain me what this page does more then showing some images more or less related to html5? They link to dribble pages mostly, showing the same image. Its quite popular, but im obviously overlooking something.

To me the shots are inspirational for UI and other designs related to code. It's a nice showcase related to HTML5 development and these are just my reasons but I think you have explained it well... a blog post with a gallery of HTML5 designs.
