Design Float is a Digg style, community driven news aggregator dedicated to the design industry. Design Float aims to collect and organize design-related content from accross the web while lettting the community float the best articles to the top pages of their categories and sink the most irreleveant one’s to the bottom.

Open to public votes? Dangerous... I like the feel of it and if they would drop one of the right columns, it wouldnt look as busy. Main page should pimp your site and your content, not your sponsors imo

Yea opening the votes up to unregistered users has been a risky experiment, but that was one of the number one complaints I received from people about Digg when doing research for this project. I monitor votes pretty closely and so far there hasn't been any blatant fraudulent voting. As the site continues to grow, I'm sure I'll eventually have to close it down to registered users, but I'll wait until I'm forced too.

Yep, for the record my down vote was for the layout, not the content. I found it too cluttered.
