When Apple first launched the App Store it set the bar for how much a company could claim for itself from the sale of every app. Since then it has been the norm that a developer selling an app will hand over 30% of the revenue to the store owner.

Appstore is something that Micro$oft had to think of too much earlier than that. They are too late by now, and as always, copying Apple once more. They suck, as always.
