This seems to be a very thoroughly thought-through article. Definitely worht a vote and your read. Interestingly, his biggest beef for Eclipse/MyEclipse was lack of Java EE 5 support, which is coming next month in MyEclipse's 5.5 GA. :-)

eclipse has many plugins, not just MyEclipse

Correct. However, reviewing them ALL would be simply impossible. I tried EasyEclipse for a while but was fairly dissapointed, so focused on MyEclipse instead. I had to limit the review to some manageable scope in order to be able to deliver it. Most companies would prefer to buy an integrated solution rather than try to find and match separate plugins together. And I did mention the availability of other plugins for Eclipse a few times throughout the article.
