Well, through the magic of SWTSwing, we can now have an (almost) fully functional copy of Eclipse with no native dependancies! Enjoy the screenshots.

EoS as a plugin that you can but don't have to use is always a plus for Eclipse.

I think this idea is brilliant. Not as a replacement for SWT or anything, that would be stupid. It's simply good to have a choice and more flexibility. Since everything in Eclipse is a plugin and thus modularized one could imaging SWT being split up in a public API and an implementation part, where everybody can deliver the implementation he likes, like th near perfect native implementation we already have, or Swing, or whatever.

And do not fear - Eclipse would be the same, becuase we can use SWT native if we want.
